Our Fire rated instrumentation cable is designed to protect signal integrity while prioritizing fire safety. The insulation and jacket are made of flame-retardant materials. They are self-extinguishing when exposed to fire and do not support flame propagation. This helps slow down fire spread and provides valuable time for firefighting and evacuation.

We also focus on transmission performance. The conductor is high-purity oxygen-free copper, ensuring low resistance and stable conductivity for accurate transmission of weak instrument signals.

The insulation is HDPE or flame-retardant PVC with stable dielectric properties. Crosstalk between pairs is effectively controlled.

A dual shielding structure is applied: aluminum foil for each pair and a high-density tinned copper braid overall. This provides strong protection against EMI from VFDs and motors, ensuring accurate transmission of 4–20mA, thermocouple, and RTD signals without distortion.

Q: What is the performance difference between flame-retardant and standard instrument cable?

A: Electrically, the performance is almost identical. Both comply with IEC 61156 standards, including capacitance and insulation resistance.
The key difference is fire behavior. Flame-retardant cables contain additives in the insulation and jacket that allow them to self-extinguish when exposed to flame. This prevents fire propagation along the cable route.
