Thermocouples are often installed far from the control room, requiring a reliable method to transmit the signal back to the instrument system. Our thermocouple lead wire is designed for this purpose. It extends the thermocouple circuit from the measurement point to the instrument or DCS system by continuing the thermoelectric characteristics of the thermocouple type. This ensures that the temperature signal remains accurate over long distances.

Accuracy and Protection Combined

We use carefully selected thermocouple alloy combinations matched to each thermocouple type. For K-type applications, nickel-chromium and nickel-silicon-based compensation alloys are used to maintain consistent thermoelectric performance. The alloy composition is tightly controlled to ensure stable signal transmission across the full operating temperature range.
To protect the signal in industrial environments, shielding options are available. Aluminum foil shielding provides protection against high-frequency electromagnetic interference, while copper braid shielding is effective against low-frequency magnetic interference. These options help maintain signal stability in environments with VFDs, motors, and other industrial equipment.
A range of jacket materials is also available. Flame-retardant PVC is suitable for general indoor applications, while fluoroplastic insulation is designed for high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments.
