Specialty cables are cables manufactured by adding special materials and processes to ordinary cables to meet specific needs. Specialty cables are resistant to high temperatures, acids and alkalis, and termites. Furthermore, they possess special properties such as flame retardancy, fire resistance, corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, and low smoke/halogen-free properties. They are used in applications such as ships, aircraft, and nuclear power plants, and their applications are wide-ranging, covering multiple fields with stringent requirements for cable performance, including military, aerospace, petrochemical, nuclear power plants, and rail transportation. In terms of classification, it does not belong to the same classification method as power, control, and computer cables; that is, the cables listed above also include specialty cables. Generally, specialty cables require the establishment of internal control standards by enterprises.

 

Specialty cables are a series of products with unique properties and special structures. Compared to the widely used ordinary wires and cables, they are characterized by higher technical content, stricter usage conditions, smaller batch sizes, and higher added value. They often employ new materials, new structures, new processes, and new design calculations.
