Observe the Color: Generally, red compensating cable represents the positive terminal, and blue compensating cable represents the negative terminal. However, some manufacturers may label them the other way around, so color recognition alone is not entirely accurate.
Measure the Voltage: Using a multimeter to measure the voltage is a more reliable method. Set the multimeter to the voltage setting, then connect the red probe to one compensating cable and the blue probe to the other. Read the voltage value. If the reading is positive, the red compensating cable is positive and the blue compensating cable is negative; if the reading is negative, the red compensating cable is negative and the blue compensating cable is positive.
