Buried cables face many hazards. Rodents can chew through cable jackets. Excavation tools can damage the insulation. Rocks and soil pressure can crush the conductors. Our steel tape armored instrument cable is designed to overcome these challenges. The steel tape armor provides a strong mechanical barrier that protects the inner cores from impact, soil pressure, and rodent damage. As a result, your DCS and PLC signals remain safe and reliable underground.

High Signal Integrity Inside

The steel tape armor does not compromise signal performance. We use high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors to ensure stable signal transmission. The HDPE insulation provides a stable dielectric constant, helping reduce crosstalk between wire pairs. The cable also features a double-shielding system. Each pair is individually wrapped with an aluminum foil shield, while a dense tinned copper braid surrounds the entire cable to provide overall shielding. With braid coverage exceeding 85%, the cable effectively blocks electromagnetic interference (EMI) from nearby electrical equipment, ensuring accurate transmission of both analog and digital signals.

Built for Outdoor and Harsh Environments

The cable is rated at 300/500 V, with a working capacitance of less than 60 nF/km. These electrical characteristics help maintain stable performance over long transmission distances. We manufacture armored models such as DJYPVP-22 and DJYPVPR-22, with many standard specifications available from stock.

Our armored production line uses precise tension control to ensure uniform overlap of the steel tape without damaging the inner cores. Every cable passes a 2000 V / 5 min voltage withstand test and undergoes a 100% continuity test before shipment. For export, the cables are packed on moisture-resistant wooden reels designed for long-distance ocean transportation. We can also print sequential meter markings on the cable jacket to make on-site measurement and installation more convenient.
