Computer cables mainly consist of a conductor, insulation layer, shielding layer, and outer sheath. The conductor, typically made of highly conductive materials such as copper or aluminum, is responsible for current transmission. The insulation layer wraps around the conductor, preventing current leakage and short circuits; common insulation materials include polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyethylene (PE). The shielding layer reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), ensuring the purity of signal transmission. The outer sheath, as the outermost layer of protection, resists mechanical damage, chemical corrosion, and environmental factors, extending the cable's service life.
